ABOUT DR. ROSE
OUR VISION REHAB SERVICES
Dr. Norman Rose provides specialized treatment for the neurological damage done to the visual system by stroke , traumatic brain injury , concussion or neurological diseases.
People who have difficulty walking , dizziness , double vision , vertigo , unstable balance , loss of side vision and difficult reading can be helped with targeted rehabilitation and individualized therapy.
After a thorough analysis of the visual system neurologically , treatment is achieved with the use of special prisms, lenses, filters, patches and tints. Some patients may also require treatment with neuro-optometric visual postural rehabilitation.
Dr. Norman Rose received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the State University of New York at Brockport. He earned his doctorate at the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts in 1982.
While attending the New England College of Optometry, Dr. Rose was an Assistant Clinical teacher in Ophthalmology. He also did externships in Vision Therapy and ocular diseases.
Before moving to Escondido, Dr. Rose was part of the medical staff at the Medical Group of Genesee Valley Group Health in Rochester, New York. He started a private practice in Escondido 1988 and was in private practice there for over twenty five years. Dr. Rose was affiliated with Palomar Medical Center and use to treats stroke and traumatic brain injured patients in the hospital. He retired in 2017 but was drawn back into practice on a part time basis due to the desire to help people with neurological problems.
